Educational boundaries

Why a lesson is not a trading signal

An explanation helps you understand an idea. A recommendation asks you to take an action. Confusing the two can give an educational example more authority than it deserves.

An example has a teaching purpose

A lesson may simplify a situation so that one concept is easier to see. The example might focus on how a percentage is calculated, how a document is read or how a tool responds to a prompt. It does not automatically account for real-world costs, timing, execution or your personal circumstances.

Ask what the example actually establishes

After reading an example, write a narrow statement of what it shows. “This is how the calculation was performed using these inputs” is different from “This method will work in the future.” The first can be checked against the example. The second needs evidence the example may not provide.

AI can blur the boundary

A generated explanation may move from describing a source to suggesting an action without clearly marking the change. Ask the tool to separate reported facts from interpretation, then remove any unsupported instruction. You remain responsible for checking the scope of the answer.

The boundary at ONE TRADE

ONE TRADE provides general education about markets and AI-assisted research. A product purchase does not include individual recommendations, buy/sell calls, account management or an assessment of whether an investment is suitable for you. Customer support does not extend that scope.

A useful reading habit

For each takeaway, note its source, assumptions and one situation where it might not apply. This makes the limits of the lesson part of what you learn. If you need advice for a personal financial decision, seek an appropriately authorised professional in your jurisdiction.

Read our educational disclaimer and risk disclosure for the boundaries that apply to the material on this website.
